PC Aero developted together with CFD Consultants GmbH a very efficient process in order to connect the main structure design tasks CAD, CFD, loads, FEM and structure tests.

By means of this procedure we can finish a complete aircraft layout structure design in a few month.

We reduce also the number of design iterations.

Loads

  • static loads for wings, fuselage, control surfaces (using lifting line theory or CFD results)
  • quasistationary loads by means of fligth simulation (manouvre and gust)
  • dynamic landing loads (complete 3 point landing simulation of the aircraft including spin-up loads)
  • structure dynamic loads (manoeuvre and gust) by means of frequency response or time simulation

Structure Tests

We perform static, dynamic (drop tests) and fatigue tests. For this we developed a new modular test rig which weights less than 1.500 kg and may be transported on a trailer to the manufacturer where we perform in the shortest time the structural tests. Using this test rig we can test (also fatigue) aircraft up to about 1.500 kg max. weight.
